Kim wasn't a fan of guns, per se, but her husband was absolutely against them.

I think Kim would have kept a gun for home safety if her husband hadn't been so adamantly against them. This probably would have helped her and her daughter when her anti-gun husband was off on "business" and unable to "protect" them.

My husband isn't too keen on guns, either, but he at least understands that familiarity with them and training classes help (for those who have a bad reaction because of media). He cannot always be "the MAN" around this home, especially not when he is traveling on business.

My children are 11 and 7, have had basic firearms training- plus more at home- and they know what they must do if ever they awaken to intruders in our home. Even if their parents are probably already dead.
